Getting the right files

I ve been searching for an emulator for my IPAQ a gameboy, snes or sega emulator and its just getting all to confusing... Which files do you need? I ve come across versions that have ARM, MIPS, INC and SH3 also some emulators say somethhing like you need GAPI library to run the emulator properly... I have an HP IPAQ RZ1710 what should be installed to get the roms to run and can I play the roms from the SD card in my PDA or do I need to load it on he PDA's memory.

Sure would be great to have some helpful suggestions as Im not to experinced with pocket pc stuff as yet even useful links would help.

Thanks

Hi csii. I don't know about part 2 of your question, but you want software written for ARM processors.

csii, I have jsut (in the last 2 days) tried out an Atari ST emulator on my PPC (Ah! The good old days! ).

My HX4700 has an ARM processor, so I downloaded that version of the ROM. The site I got the ROM from said I also needed GAPI - I did a search on the internet & downloaded it (although, to be honest, I didn't load it & the emulator still worked ).

I then browsed the internet for various games for the ST (freeware, of course!), & gave it a go.

Unfortunately the games I downloaded didn't work , so that's as far as I got (it was a problem with the games, not the emulator).

So, the moral of the story is: browse the internet for the files, & give it a go - it will either work or it won't, but what have you got to lose?
