Hello all, I was just wondering if anyone has sim city for ppc. I have heard good and bad about it.

Good: Its just like the pc version.

Bad: Its hard to use the stylus to place objects and the icon bar on top is difficult to use.

I love this game and have it for my pc. I would love to get it for my ppc but dont want a major dissapointment.

Any opinions and/or thoughts about it would be very welcome.

Didn't know they had it for the PPC. I am interested in opinions as well!

I have the game, I find it quite dull, more of an age of empire man me!, Never played this version on the PC

I have it for both the PC and the PPC.
The PC version is much better I'll admit.

It is much more difficult to play the game on the PPC of course, as alot of the Sim City game deals with placing tiles/items/etc. which is hard to do using a stylus. And the screen is just way too small for this type of game.

It's good for passing time, but not for serious gameplay.

Thanks for your opion David. I have heard the same about how hard it is to place objects. I love the PC version so much I think I will pass on the ppc version. I wouldn't want to ruin the perfect view I have of it.

I tried it too an the PPC and after the last hard reset I didn't bother to reinstall it. That should tell you something.

I think you should try it. I like it very much. I think they made a beautiful pocket version. If they tried to put all the features of the pc version in it would be unplayable but it has the same essence. go for it.

Sim City was one of the first games I purchased when I got into PPCs (back in 2002 with the launch of the Axim). I never played the PC version so there was no basis for comparison. I never really got the hang of it. Then I discovered Age of Empires, Warfare, Inc and some other great games and I just never went back to it.

It's that time of year again. I need a new holiday avatar... Is there anyone up to the challenge?
