New RTS Game Machines at War Released for Pocket PC and Smartphone

Isotope 244 is pleased to announce that Machines at War is now available from their website for Windows Mobile devices. Command an army of forces across the battlefield with ease in this real time strategy game. Take the challenge of constructing an epic war machine and become a dominating world power.

Try out the free demo or buy the full version for only $19.95.

Machines at War features a random map system so every game is unique and poses new challenges. Build bridges to cross water, mow down forests to clear a path to the enemy, build walls to defend your position, track tread marks left by enemy tanks to their base, hide under trees for an ambush attack, these are just some of the unique game play elements available.

Crate and expand your city with over 40 structures and units to choose from. Pick from several technologies to guide the focus of your strategy. Choose to be an economic powerhouse and flood the enemy with an endless barrage of units. Or upgrade your defensive forces and build a fortification of turrets and fortresses surrounded by walls and gates. If blitzkrieg is your style, then embolden offensive forces with unique weapon upgrades and demoralize the enemy with an unstoppable force.

Machines at War has been developed to run on any Windows Mobile 2003 and above device, including BOTH Pocket PCs and Smartphones. ALL screen rotations and resolutions are supported. VGA, QVGA, 176x220, 240x240, 320x320, and more.

You said it runs on smartphones and the like. I wonder how well it'll run on a blackjack? Games like this are prolly best kept on a touch screen.

I ran the beta, then baught this game the day it came out. This game is everything every other RTS for PPC has not been. If we get real support, new untis as time goes by, then it will be the best. I have been playing it for sevferal days now and I am inlove. The VGA is pretty good on the X51v. The responsiveness and support of i244 have been stellar. Kudos to these guys for bringing out a great RTS with real support!!!

Warfare Inc was good, but my fave from that type is Bug Lord. I also liked Age of Empires Gold. It had a lot of depth to the game. A lot more than Argentum/Warfare Inc/Bug Lord.

AWESOME GAME! I can't stop playing. It's one of the most engaging and indepth RTS I ever played. Argentum was good, and Warfare Inc was decent. Worth the $19.95 price.

One complaint - VGA compatible doesn't mean VGA graphics. But I think at 640x480 the performance and gameplay would suffer.

Actually, the game IS in full VGA. I am playing it on my X51v in full VGA. There are some simple instructions on renaming one file in the main directory so the game runs in VGA.

Thanks for sharing that. I Googled it and found the Change Log that mentions VGA not enabled by default. Must delete the Settings.xml file and rename the Settings VGA.xml to Settings.xml.

Thanks again!
