I've bought a few but none lately. The last couple were Street Duel: Underground Racing and Geo Rally EX. My all time favorite though is Atomic Cannon for Pocket PC. All together over the years I've bought at least 20 or so but that doesn't include the freeware games that I've downloaded and played.

The standard I look for is playability. The button layout on the X50v is solid for games but on my HTC Advantage I have to pass on some games because it simply doesn't have the necessary buttons to play them. A great place to check out mobile games both free and retail is PocketGamer. I'm sure you could find a free sudoku game there.

Who here purchases games for the pocket pc device, whatever windows mobile you have?
I don't.
I'm not heavy into gaming like some folks here but I do have a small handful of games for the PPC. My #1 favorite is Virtual Pool Mobile - it's so good that it helps me to keep my game polished. I also have a good Sudoku and a card game or two. Also bought Anthelion 2 (which is a space shoot-em-up) but I haven't installed it on my new machine; it got pretty boring after awhile.
I've bought a few games so that I have a little something to do when I am board out of my mind and can't get to anything else (such as stuck in a boring conference).
One of the good things about 2003se, is that it is really backward compatible. So you can play stuff from the old wince 2000 ppcs on it. There are many old free, and probably abandoned software projects out there. They run great on 2003se, are short on disc space and cpu, b/c todays devices have a lot more than back in 2000, and theyre free.
But, wm5+ have a redesigned ui, and that tends to make them not run as good, is what i hear.

I buy games. Of course I am more into gaming than the average user, I think. Not to mention I beta test some games. I love gaming on my PPC. It's amazing the changes that have occurred since I got my first PPC (X5) back in 2002.
I have purchased several games, which I highly recommend:
- Binaryfish All Mobile Casino 3
- Handmark Battleship, Monopoly, Yahtzee
- Momentum Games Pocket MiniGolf
- Rampart Games Rampart Chess
My favorite game is:
- Redshift The Quest (and its expansion packs)
