Scorched Earth

I was just playing scorch on my computer and i thought it would be the coolest thing to be able to play it on my Axim, so i was just wondering if there was scorch for the axim, and if not someone really should make it.

thx

I have played Scorched Earth on another PocketPC using PocketDOS, but control was a little difficult (couldn't get the touchscreen mouse emulation working well). It was still fun to watch the computer players blow each other up though. Unfortunately I'm stuck with the A04 ROM so my 400Mhz Axim is too slow for anything like that.

Just play Atomic Cannon Elite. It's basically the same thing except you don't buy stuff.

my big issue with A.C.E is that you dont ever kill the tanks, you just keep shooting them till the rounds end for points. not as thrilling as blowing up tanks for money in the original scorched earths.

Play the Deathmatch style. You kill them there - though that may be in the registered version. I had to buy it after playing if for 7 straight hours with the trial version. Totally awesome.

brilliant call. just tried deathmatch, and its much closer to the original.. just need to be able to buy weapons instead of being handed them and i would be in heaven.

now the decision comes down to this or snails. hrmmm..

Tried Snails - A.C.E is MUCH better. Even moreso than worms, though I still have a softspot for Worms from playing the PC version (Worms:Amrageddon) over the net with some friends. Had some wild and crazy games. What a blast.
