I think the best place to get anything are IRC channels. Get yourself a copy of MIRC from download.com, go to EFnet, and look for the #megaroms channel. You can get anything there. :P

people need to realized that just like the pocketpc os itself all the emulators currently out are optimized for strongarm process NOT xscale. so you're not gonna get the best out of it no matter whaty ou do, even the devs of the emulators admit this. Just something you're gonna have to live with until intel releases the xscale dev kit.

The xScale Dev Kit will be the Software and Information that Intel gives the developers to be able to get the most out of the xScale processor..

Currently, since the xScale runs programs for the StrongArm processor, nothing has been written explicitly for the xScale..

I wouldn't hold my breath personally...

There's a bottleneck in the xScale processor bus that will keep (IMHO) most of the enhancements from making that much difference..

But I do think that some developers will eventually start to figure out some neat tricks to get the software faster... Course, it's not as easy as it used to be now that Dev kits are designed to make rapidly developed bloated slow apps...

I just got PocketSNES to work SEMI-decent with a FAIR ammount of roms, some still just don't work at all... I, of course, mean LEGAL roms, freeware demo's, simple low-quality demo games and demo screen-fx roms, ***I would NEVER, EVER condone that anyone download Neonapster or Kazaa and type in "SNES ROMS" into the little "search" field and then download actual copies of games made by large corporations years ago for the SNES platform.*** But go ahead and search for ROM's in google or on a website, because you probably won't find anything, and will waste a lot of time, which IS legal. Anyways, I've got an Axim 400Mhz... Here's some tips.

#1. Turn off the sound! Unless you really want it, and want your game to run at about 1/2 to 2/3rd the speed, AND can deal with the sound being chopped and "stuttering" as a direct result of this. :P

#2. Overclock it. Keep in mind that overclocking is dangerous as it puts extra wear-and-tear on machines, tho I have yet to notice any serious problem as a direct result of overclocking ***my friend's axim (Heh, I ain't void'ing MY warranty! ;P)***

#3. I've only tried PocketSNES. As for NES, I've had PocketNES/Poke'NES working on an Axim and an Audiovox Maestro 200Mhz machine, and didn't have any difficulties at all installing on either platform.

roms are completely legal as long as u have the original cart, but i still respect ur desicion for not allowing rom links

HELP!!
i downloaded pocketnester 0.6 and went on kazaa lite and downloaded some snes roms. then i right click on the game i wanted and sent it to my documets on my axim. when i try to pull it up it gives me error saying it cant be opened. what am i doing wrong? :rolling:

Was it a .zip file? You may need to unzip the file first.

well considering pocketnester is a NES emulator NOT a SNES emulator, u obviously wont be able to open snes roms.
