Question MEGAmame ce: Help with metal slug

hi I have Mega mame ce up and running and i have gotten 1942 to run, but when i try and run Metal Slug It doesnt recognize it

When I fire up the emulator, the available game list is blank besides 1942 and I enable the "Show Clones" and I can see the Metal Slug 1 is there. I tried putting the neogeo.zip BIOS into the ROMS folder but that didnt work either.

Im sorry if this has been answered before but i searched to find the answer in here and couldnt find it.

Any help will be appreciated.
thanks

What games the MAMECE recognizes is just a matter of file names....dont know where, but there should be a list with the proper filenames that the game roms should have in order for MAMECE and MegaMAMECE to recognize them.....

It wont run. Only ancient arcade games work with that mame build, no way in hell neogeo games will run. Same for cps1/2.

Since we have had this discussion multiple times in the past, I dont remember exactly who or when, but I do think that the "heavy" games actually run, only not very well (like, with 4-5 fps).

Of course its not the same with the oldies, which all run rather well (Bombjack and 1942 are two of the most playable games). An overclocked Advanced will play all the games of MAMECE perfectly, and *almost* all of MegaMAME rather well......

As for the list of filenames, I wish I could remember.......maybe I'll look for it tomorrow morning.....

Like I said- they won't work. They are 'supported' because that version of mame (that was used to make mameCE) supports them. It has nothing to do with whether your hardware has the power to run it.
