I installed a few games on my Axim but now want to move them to my SD Card. The files are located in 'Program Files' in folders that were automatically created during the installation process. Using the Explore feature of ActiveSync, I simply moved the folders from 'Program Files' to the 'SD Card' folder. I thought this would work, but when I tried to play the games after doing this, it did not recognize the files.

Are there certain files that get installed in the 'Windows' folder or something like that? I'm wondering if I didn't get everything moved over.

Thanks

I did the same thing...Try to move my games to my new SD card and it didn't recongnize. Try uninstalling the games and reinstalling them. When ActiveSync asks you do you want to install them to Built in memory or SD, pick SD. It will work. I did the same thing and it worked......

Yes, do as soulkiss said. When it asks you to where to install point it to the SD card. If the game/program is a .cab file, well they automatically install to the Program Files directory without asking. I wanted to be able to install .cabs to wherever I wanted so I did a little Google searching and came up with a great little program called CabInstl. With this little gem you can install .cabs wherever the heck you want!!

I did the same, use the "explore" feature in the activesync. I then went to the program folder and deleted the icon. I then made a shortcut icon and placed that in the program folder, start menu. It worked. It took a bit of time but it did work.

Yeah, you have to uninstall, re-install. The reason is that the registry gets updated on the files' location. If you manually move the stuff without updating the registry, it won't work.

That's great. I appreciate everyone's help. I'll do an uninstall/install.
