SorceryPDA Progress

Just curious on how many people here are happy with the status, updates, and the company in general.

I don't think you will get any positive answers. Considering the fact that there has been no real updates since around May, I am not happy at all. And considering that only one and half modules out of 14 have been released, I am not happy.

I'm a beta tester and even I haven't heard anything from them. In fact, they are now starting to delete threads on their message board that have anything to do with any type of refund or legal action.

Oh, BTW- Check out my revised review in the User Reviews section. Raynne413, you may want to do the same...

You are quite right. I adjusted the part of the review that I could.

From the SorceryPDA News section:

11.21.2003 Windows Mobile 2003 patch is almost ready! We'll be posting the status on Monday--the 24th--after we hear back from our Pocket PC development partner who is working with MS on this.

Posted by Sorcery Support Team on November 21, 2003 at 16:01:23:

As posted in the news section, our Pocket PC development partner promises to give status release on the upcoming Windows Mobile 2003 patch this Monday. We hope to have it for you by Thanksgiving.

After the release of the WM2003 patch we will be able to release the final mod group (after a quick run through by our patient testers). At that time the game will be allowed to distribute internationally.

Stay tuned... We'll also be updating our Screenshots section with some sneak-peaks from the new mods this weekend.

Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it. Especially since the beta testers I have talked to, haven't heard anything about this.

Supposedly the patch that they put out works on iPaq's. It sure doesn't work on my Axim and the only sort of response I saw on their forums was to disable the Today screen (don't know how and wouldn't anyway) or to use a completely black skin.

What a bunch of hog wash.

It's companies like this that slow down the evolution of the PPC and the internet...

They probably removed it because the developers couldn't handle all the bad posts.

Just thought you might want to see this. Good thing I haven't bought the game yet. Was waiting for all the bugs to be worked out. Can we say rip off?

But I guess those who bought it before 2/1/04 you can download the mods for free still.

Lets see... 14 mods @ $3.95 = $55.30

The game cost $9.95 now.

Total Price! (check my math) $55.30 + $9.95 = $65.25

It looked like it had potential. But not at that price.

I could NOT believe that when I saw it today. I am SO glad they didn't try to pull that on the people that have already bought the game and have been waiting for a year.

Maybe they need to make some money so they can pay some programmers to finally get this gamn working for all handhelds. I am soooooooooo disgusted with them.
