A specific Doom engine port/package, or just one in general?

GFDoom is my personal favorite: http://home.freeuk.com/gamefreaks/pql/gfDoom.htm and it's site is still up.

Yes, it's for Pocket PC. Download the 'ARM' version.

Does this doom version thingy work for the axim? I already have a doom "player". It runs good except for in big rooms. And my doom2.was doesnt work on it. I wounder if Doom2.wad works on this one your talking about.

I use mainly for Doom 2, so yes it works with the doom2.wad.

wait amin i got it never mind. By the way what frame rate are you people getting. I get about 8 when in full screen, is that normal. IF i shrink the screen some it goes to about 15, 16 17, fps.

Put your Axim in Normal or Maximum performance mode before running it.

It is on auto, and Doom is in file explorer. Does it have anything to do with me having to open file explorer to run my doom?

Turn it to Normal, Auto doesn't work well with games (you typically see speedups and slow downs in game if you have the processor set to auto).

Launching from File Explorer has no impact on speed.

Are you estimating the FPS yourself, or is there an option you found in GFDoom to show it? If it's an option in game, turn it off. In PocketSNES it actually slows down the emu, something simular may be happening here.
