Question What are the best FREE puzzle-type games for the Axim?

I've owned my Axim for about a year now, but only recently started playing games on it. A few days ago I downloaded Snowed In 2 from ClickGamer.com -- available here:

http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=2

I am now addicted. Between that and Tetris I can't seem to stop playing.

I'm wondering if there are any other great (but FREE) puzzle games that fit the "Tetris" or "Snowed In" genre.

Thanks.

You may want to take a look at Gem Swap, Icy Maze, Log(Hic), NeoTiles, Pipe Done, and Pocket BL.

Raynne413-

Thanks a lot. Some of those games look really fun. The Gem Swap game looks identical to Snowed In, but requires the ".Net Compact Framework." Does the Axim X5 have that? I followed the link to the Microsoft website and the download is 14+MB. I'd like to get that game, but not if it's going to require complicated installs. I'm not brave enough to install something complicated.

Then you may want to try Free Swapper. The graphics aren't as good, but nothing else is required in order to run it.

I hope I'm not becomming a nuisance, but I have one last question for you. I took a look at Free Swapper and the graphics are not that good. I'd rather use Gem Swap. Can I install that .NET framework to a SD card? Is it a complicated thing to do?

Thanks.

You are not being a nuissance at all. That is what I am here for. Are you running 2003? If so, I believe you already have the .net framework.

Oh, ok. I am still on 2002, also. But I would imagine that the .net framework would need to go on main memory. Are you sure that what you are looking at isn't the development software (just to be sure as I haven't looked at it)?

No, it is not the development software. However, I downloaded the file just to take a look. What it does is install a program on your computer which then reads your mobile device to see which version you need. So, the installer is probably much larger than what actually gets installed on the Axim. I guess I'll give it a shot and cross my fingers.

I am about 99% certain that it must be installed in main memory, and it is a piece of cake to install. You'll have no trouble at all.

I used to have it in my list of Add/Remove apps in ActiveSync but I just cleaned that up a few weeks ago - othrewise I would have been able to tell you exactly how much space that it takes.
