Frustrated with trying to D/L game
Hey there! I recently bought Krazy Kart from Handango's website and I can't get it to work. I had to get a keyfile and enter info from that and the game was supposed to work. I couldn't figure out what I did wrong, so I erased it from my Axim (although the icon still shows up on my games screen). I kept it on the hard-drive on my PC. I tried to drag all of the files into the CF card and they went in fine (it said copying and converting files). When I tap on the icon in the games folder is says " Cannot find 'crazykart' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and all the required libraries are available." This is so frustrating to me. If anybody could offer some assistance, I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Mike

It sounds like you installed it to the main memory of your Axim, and then moved all of the files to your CF card. Am I correct?
If so, then the Start Menu icon for it is still looking for it in the main memory....not on the CF card. It is not a good idea to move programs around once they are installed, as there could be files elsewhere that are looking for the program in the original installation location. When you install the game, the Activesync Add/Remove Programs window should pop up as usual. Then it should have a drop-down list with "Main Memory", "Storage Card", etc. You can simply choose "Storage Card" (or similar, if you renamed your CF card), and Activesync will install the program to your CF card....this way, all files (including the Start Menu icon) will be looking for it on the CF card.

How can I do this properly then? I'm still new at this, so step by step would be great. I'm in nursing school, and I downloaded a drug guide to my Axim with no problem, but I screwed this one up somehow. Thanks for the quick reply. Mike

On the top Menu Bar of Aximsite, there is a Tutorials section under the Resources Menu.
Gigi wrote a great tutorial, Installing, Running, and Uninstalling Software, that is hosted in the Tutorials section of Aximsite.

Still not working. Could it be that the keyfile hasn't been registered on the company's end yet? It said within 2 business days, but I figured that if they gave me a keyfile, then it had to be good. I'll try again tomorrow. This sucks... thanks for the help though. Mike

Make sure you haven't changed anything in your Device's User Info since purchase of the app, 'though I really don't think that would cause problems with a game app. I've never bought anything from Handango that wasn't immediately useable once the keyfile was generated by them and sent to me either in an email or available in my Handango Account Information. Some programs require you to download a seperate purchased version. Make sure you aren't trying to activate a Demo version. Those are all the variations I can think of for now. If all else fails, contact Handango Customer Service and/or the Developer.

I did purchase the real game and not the demo. I received an e-mail from the tech support and explained it all to them, but have not received a response yet. Hopefully it'll all get straightened out. Thanks for all your help! Mike
