EQ1 Road trip to neriak quest

I'm doing the part were you collect the pelts. I've found all of them except the ratpelt. I've searched everywhere, can someone please tell me where it is?

I also checked the sewers but all the mobs down there are dead from my past quest.

It has been awhile since I have played this game. I remember a lot of people having trouble finding the pelt because they had already killed the majority of the rats. The ones in the sewer won't give you a pelt, I remember that much. Just wander around outside of the town, and you should eventually find one.
