game pad.....maybe...

okeydokey

so here at this thread we have a whole bunch of ppc gaming fanatics..they are so involved that they have motivated themselve to try to do what others have not, create a game pad for the ppc

i havent read the whole thread, but so far, it looks like they may know what they are talking about, and have gotten farther than most people have

it also looks like it will be quite costly, and a very indirect messy way of connecting the game pad to the ppc

they are doing it with the ps2 controller i think

Bah....just looks a bunch of kids that don't have a clue.

One guy was talking about using a USB Gender Changer to connect the male-end of a USB sync cable to the male-end of a USB Playstation-Controller adapter. Guess he doesn't understand USB very well.....

Also, the same guy posted later saying that he just figured out that they need a "Driver Development Kit." Sounds to me like some kids that don't have a clue about PPC development.

i probably sound just like one of those kids(btw i am a kid) because i really don't know what i'm talking about, but does anyone think that it would be possible to use this gamepad http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/zeta-ip...ad-review.html and just like "re-wire" it to one of the axim adapters?

To tell you the truth, I don't know. Sounds to good to be true, but it might can be done. You would probly have to look at the wiring in the connector. Thats my guess. I am no wiring dude.:D

You'd have to convert the levels as the Axim doesn't use full RS232 (the iPaq this is for does). Depending on how it uses the serial, it might work if the levels are converted.

The only 'universal' gamepad, the serial Gravious Stinger, doesn't work with the X5. :(
