Huh? Blockbuster or ebgames.com or any video game store on the planet. They are about as hard to find as water, mcondalds burgers, and taxicabs.

what moore suggested is illegal, not that i feel to bad about it. if you want free legal iso's to test out the software here are some sites
(if i am in any aximsite violation, please tell me. these are rom's but they are public domain, either created by amateurs, or demos given away for free by the producers)

http://www.zophar.net/roms.phtml?op=show&type=psx
and
http://www.pdroms.de/
are two sites with demo roms that are about the only truly legal roms u can use on the emulator. i would not rip the iso from blockbuster. if i were you i would just do a search on the psx game on ebay, they are old and prolly go for around a few bucks which is well worth it

and im glad to see that more people are visiting achilles-site and aximsite, odie, my two favorite message boards

I'm just curious but what did moore say that was illegal?, from what I read he suggested places where u can rent games and an online store where u can buy them...

Actually I didnt even mean rent them. No blockbuster around here (hollywood) has ps1 games to rent, but they are dumping the old rentals at low prices.

I'm not sure how ripping a game you bought is 'illegal', if anything I was trying to encourage him to buy the games rather than lament that he can't 'find' any, since 'finding' them to me implied he was trying to find downloads for them (99% of psx games have no copy protection so there is no DMCA issue with ripping games you bought down to ppc sizes and transferring them to a cf card)

well if he implied that he was going to blockbuster to rent a ps1 game (mine has a couple, guess its just hit or miss) that he was going to rent one. you cant just pop it into your ppc, you have to rip the iso off of it. which legally u cant do if u dont own the game, which you dont cuz ur only renting it

but dont blame me, im all for piracy

FF7 can be ripped into a 237MB ISO. The guide is floating around somewhere online.

I managed to get it down to about 62 mb. I'd be interested in how to get it down to an even smaller size if you have a link.

I have to say that I've not spent much time playing because the d-pad and buttons on the X3i *really* aren't good for gaming, they just don't feel right. I hope someone comes out with a gamepad add-on or something.

If Dell ever release a thumb-keyboard for the X3, can buttons be mapped to the keyboard for games? (This question is for those who already use external keyboards)

Lots of games can rip to tiny sizes, gta1 is like 5mb.

pdai.org has the fpsece forum, just check there for how.

Wow, so when you guys are saying that FF7 can be chiseled down to fit on a 256MB card, are you talking about ALL FOUR discs? Or would you need to do some odd switcheroo? Man that is sweeeeet! Someone please post a link of how to do so!

Nope, one disk only. :( That's why you need a 1 gig card or a microdrive, and I personally think it's not worth it.
