I am not sure about the floor plate, as there were quite a few in that level. However, with the laughing door, there are switches on three walls. Pay attention to the directions, and remember you got the east and west keys.

But I could use your help in the "Home of Patience". I must have accessed or opened this wall at some point, because you can clearly see a floor plate on the map. But for the life of me, I can not seem to get this section open again. I am stuck at the door laughing at me, with the six switches. There has got to be some sort of hint on this level, and it must be beyond this wall. Any general help would be appreciated.
Thank you
Somewhere not too far from that room is another room that has six switches you cannot move. You have to remember the position of those switches. I can't remember exactly where you have to go, though.
Argh... I'm stuck in the house of patience and I don't have any. I have both keys available in the area, and I've been to every open path that is on the map and stepped on every floor plate at least twice just to see what happens. I still can't find the mirror half of the switch puzzle... :(

You open that wall from the floorplate directly south of there... on the other side of the wall. You can get to that one by exploring the south-eastern corner of the map. Click on the funny looking face (I think it looks like an abominable snowman), and you should be good to go from there.

Alrighty... I've used the keys, but that just led me to two shelves with items and teleporters that take me back to the beginning of the level. There is an orb in this area, isn't there???

I started a new game on Friday just for fun. I'm using only a mage, and it is a lot easier than I thought it would be. The game divides the experience gained between the characters, so I'm getting 4x the experience. I currently have the following stats (and I haven't even entered the tower yet!):
My mage is impervious to magic and poison traps (although spear traps take about 50% of my HP.) I can kill pretty much any enemy I've seen with three spark spells. This dude will be totally pimped out by the end of the game. :P

LOL Yeah, that is the only bad thing about having a four person party. My highest character is Level 16 and I am in the last city. I am trying to level up before the expansion pack.
Cheryl, are you really trying to make your own level? I haven't been brave enough to try it.:)

Nice stats! I have a new game running with a Knight and a Battle Mage. They are both at level 16 in Grendelmoore.
