Do you have any old backups that you can restore from? That is odd. I never had that problem. But then again, I didn't use the installer, I just copied and pasted the .pdb file. I think I would have a heart attack if all of my characters were gone. :crooked:

I did confirm with Stewe that your saved games should not have been deleted. Any chance the update got installed in a different location? Check Program Files>Legacy Folder.

Also, how did you install the update? Did you use the installer or the .cab file?

Yeehaaw!! Thanks Cheryl! I had installed it on my SD card originally, then forgot that I had done that. I used the installer and in my haste to get the upgrade installed I didn't bother to install it to my card...I found my games and characters! woohoo

Wow! I'm addicted to this game and I'm also stuck! I've spent far too much time on this game (good or bad?) and have enjoyed the "ride" thus far.
I have three orbs (Orientation, Secrets, and Guards) and since I have been everywhere atleast three times, I can't seem to find the fourth one. I'm at the stage now where I have forgotten where I have got the first three (from which Home).
Any help would be appreciated!
Once I complete the game, I will do the upgrade and try it again! Best game I have seen in a very long time!

Are you sure? I thought that I got one of them from near the North-East corner in a little room.
Do you remember the area in each room that the orbs are at?

Hmmmm. . . there is the Home of Tricks, Patience, Ignorance, and Cold. I think the Orientation sphere came from Ignorance. I am not sure about the others. Grrrr. . . It has been too long since I was in that area. Sphere of Secrets was probably from Tricks. So maybe you missed the Cold?

Patience was the one with the talking faces.

Got it! Thanks for the help. I've enjoyed reading much of this after I went through the game. Just needed some steering in the right direction, not an exact explaination of what to do, to continue.
Now I have upgraded to 1.05 and thinking of starting over again.
I also installed the expansion pack. Silly question now but where do I get access to it?
Also I thought a map generator came with 1.05?

You access the mission pack at the teleporter in Grendelmoore :). As for the mission editor, I'm not sure it's been released yet.

They are still working on the beta of the mission editor.
