Running a game off of a CF

I read in a post that you could run a game off of a CF card. How do you set this up? I would like to run everquest off of it as it boggs down my main memory to 65-70% capacity.

Also, could some one send me a link to a good place to learn about emulators? I would like to know more about them and how they work.

Thanks everyone!

I dont know about Everquest in particular,
but you can install to CF or SD during install
it will ask you where do you want it installed
just select Compact Flash.

For more information on installing software
check out Gigi's tutorial:

When installing the game through ActiveSync, ActiveSync will ask if you want to install it into the default installation directory. Click on "No," and it will ask where you do want to install it. Select CF Card and you're set!

DSmithZ28.
No need for an emulator. When you install a program it will ask you to install in the default location. You click no, instead of yes and then it will give you an option of:
Default
Compact Flash
Built in-storage

Pocket OC Mag seems to think its the greatest thing sice sliced bread. Its pretty cool. Just click no when it asks and select CF card, though it doesn't show the amount of space

There seems to be some misunderstanding here. SD and CF cards act like a hard disk on a Desktop. They are places where programs can be stored.

But they actually run in Main Memory RAM, just like the RAM on your desktop.

So the speed of the card will have some effect on how long it takes the program to load, but none at all on the speed at which it runs.
