Pocket Doom Mods

Hey

I was orignally using Jimmy Softwars Doom, but i was unable to run ANY custom mods/wads, it have me a null error

Then I started using gfDoom http://home.freeuk.com/gamefreaks/pql/gfDoom.htm

I was able to run many Wads using gfDoom, but when i try to run the mods off this page ( http://www.doomwadstation.suhost.com...c.html#EXTREME ) such as starwars and half-life, it did not work. I got into the the start screen and the menu, but after i selected my difficulty, i got an error message and didnt work.

Any help will be appreciated.

PS Yes, i have the Wads in the same folder as the game.

I haven't been able to get any pwads to work. When I use the shareware mod, it gives me an error and exits out. When I use the TNT mod (the only other one I have), it plays like normal as if I hadn't loaded a pwad. Hmmm....

FYI: I do have the Full Doom I and Doom II Wads in the same folder

Are you using gfDoom launcher?

Yes, I am, I even saw the Half-life and Star Wars Background.... just when i go to actually play it, it gives me my problem

for Doom pwads in general, you want to leave the main Wad selection clear. Pick "none" where the normal DoomII.wad or Doom.wad are. Then pick your pwad. So only a pwad is picked, then go ahead and start. The pwad will play then
for some reason, if you have a main wad picked, it will just play that one.

Thanks... that helped me out. That one wad gives me the error also, but I was able to play the Mario wad.

Could it have anything to do how much free program memory i have?

if you had an unsefficient amount of program memory, it would tell you. I've had plenty of those problems until I got my CF card.
I think it may just be a compatibility issue. I'm very interested though, about the Mario wad and others. Tell me, what wads has anyone gotten to work, and how did you set up the launcher? that may help us start off in the right direction...

I got the Mario mod to work pretty much any way I wanted. All I did was choose it from the list of pwads.
