I have been using KSE Backgammon but if you want a free version, you might want to try this Backgammon game

KSE is the one I play, the best of the three or four I've tried.

I second/third that. KSE Backgammon rocks. Although I wish the toughest level were a bit tougher...

I noticed the same thing. It takes a little getting used to.

KSE Backgammon

I just got my Ax last week and got my CF card (256K) yesterday so I am looking to load some of my favorite games.

I started to download the KSE game but it has two different versions for PocketPCs, which one will run the best on the Ax?

Also, and please forgive the newbee question, since this game has been written for CE will it run in PocketPC? I am sure it does, since you are recommending it but I am being very careful to avoid loading something that will screw up my new toy.

Any assistnace is appreciated.

Download the ARM version and it should work just fine.

Thank you for the input to my previous post. I did download the demo from KSE and everything loaded OK (I think). The programs opens just fine and looks terrific. However, when I try to start a game I get a registration screen that puts me into the loop from hell. First it asks for a user name which I gave. Then it gives you a registration number on another screen that comes up after I click OK which needs to be entered into the previous screen. I entered the #in the appropriate place. Now comes the problem. When I click OK it comes back and tells me that the registration number I entered does not match the user name. Needless to say, I double checked numerous times and even uninstalled and reinstalled and followed the procedure to the letter with a new user name with no luck. I just cannot seem to get passed the d#@$ registration screen. Now for my questions.

1 - is this installation typical of all application written for the PPC?

and

2 - can anyone guide me as to what I may be doing wrong?

Your assistance is appreciated.

Check and make sure there is not a space after your user name. Sometimes that causes alot of problems.

Why do something work and others not.

I'm trying these backgammon games. So first I try the one from AnyWare. Downloaded ok. It installed itself on my Axim in Program Files in a AnyWare folder. In that folder was a folder named Backgammon. Tap on that and it's empty. But when I do Explore on my desktop with ActiveSync and open the Backgammon folder I see Blockem.dll. That's it I can't open it and play the game.

So I go try the one mikezzz posted (Thanks mike) BGLightCE. I download it. It Sync to my Axim and puts itself in my Seart menu. I tap on that and it opens and I play the game.

I'm typing all this because I trying to learn why some downloads Sync and work automaticity an some don't?
