You're right, the X3i can't handle it. It can barely do SNES emulation. The N64 emulators for PC require fast processors and video acceleration. Pocket PCs don't have very fast processors compared to desktops and very few of them have video accelerator chips. The best is the Toshiba E805 which has a 2MB video chip, a far cry from even the cheapest desktop PCs.

I'd say the x3i can handle snes very well. i only have a few games but they all run perfectly using pocketsnes.

I can't wait till I have a VGA res PDA with built in ATi mobile graphics!!!

I have no doubt that the X3i plays SNES games well. By "barely" I didn't mean that it was choppy, I meant that if it were any slower it wouldn't be smooth.

When you get that VGA PocketPC, I'm stealing it :p

N64 or a PPC! HA HA HA HA HA HA. I can barely get it to run on my old PIII. Though some people claim to PSX to run a good speed, i think they are lying. For now dude, stick to your desktop. PLUS you dont have a enough buttons AND the games are big (you would need a good sized CF or SD card)

ACTUALLY, as to that last point, the largest N64 games are only 30 mb, most are less. He could probably fit 2 or 3 on a $15 64 MB cf card off of ebay. However, the rest of what you have said is correct. There was a thread not that long ago in the tell dell section (i would link to it if i wasnt so lazy) about someone putting out a gamepad for pdas (that they should) that would connect via cf or sd. That would be awsome. But the fact remains that the video cards arent strong enough. Ill stick to my N64 (YES I STILL USE IT EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A GAMECUBE!!!!)

I can easily run SNES games on my X3i. They run at fully speed except for a couple. Even running a PSX emulator on my X3i i can get around 30FPS with destruction derby.

I would like to know how they even get the data off the N64 carts and onto the PC?

they sell and adapter/reader that connects to the pc through usb or serial and then u use a special program to remove the data. the readers are not cheap and not 100% legal but can easly be found by doing a google search. dont anyone dare ask for roms!
