It would be great to have a little more information than what you posted.Did you buy an Axim and get an game card with it? Did you the card in the mail from Atari? Dell? The toothfairy?? Is it something that a web site is giving away for free? Please share ![]()

I ordered my Axim X5 a few weeks ago and it was supposed to have come with the free Atari Retro card. However, when it arrived, no game card !!
![]() I also had a missing AC adapter cable, so I got on the online support chat. At first the support rep tried to tell me I didn't really have the AC adapter and didn't need a cord, and there weren't any promos for the day I ordered my Axim. I finally convinced him that, yes I DID have an AC adapter and he would send me a cable. I also griped extensively about not getting the game card, and the guy finally said "How about if I issue you a coupon for $35 towards a purchase?" I said ok and there was a long wait. Finally he came back and said, "I don't have a coupon for $35.00, so I initiated one for $75. Is that okay?" ![]() Screw the game card, I got 256 SD memory and the radio card !!

I got the Atari Retro game card (an SD card) awhile back as a free give away that someone was doing (can't remember who now)...but since I keep most of my software on my SD card, I cant really use it. I don;t want to take my SD card out...afraid it might mess things up.
I have tried to transfer the files on the game card over to my Axim X5 but it doesn't seem to work doing that... Anyone with any thoughts would be appreciated. Not a big deal, but it would be nice to get it working.

It is possible to save more important stuff to the card. It is a 15MB SD card and the games only take up about 2MB of that. I didn't try to delete the games, however.
Boy, they really are crappy, though. It isn't like they are the good arcade versions of the games. They are the Atari 2600 versions. When I can download MAME, NES, NES, and GBA emulators why would I go play a 2600? --JeffD

Atari card
As a matter of fact is is quite possible to delete the games, all you need to do to free up extra space is to delete the files not related to Pocket PC, ie there is a file folder on that card called Palm OS or something similar...you don't need THAT! They've sent a generic Atari card out, not a specific PPC one.
There was also another one with something else in it that I got rid of, and ended up with all the files with numbers on them, the "common" file, the "pocket pc" file and the "system file". I then proceeded to store a few photos on it and some MP3's, they all played fine! You can also copy the stuff from the card onto your pc and keep it there, if you ever feel sorry for a Palm user and give them your card to keep them entertained (well they have to do SOMETHING with the Palm, right??) I might be a newbie, but I already have been playing with the nice SD card they sent me!! ![]()
