Question Age of Empires

ok, I've read the manual (never played on the pc), but I can't figure out how to 'build' a farm (embarassing)....the computer is killing me in points because I can't scrounge up enough food!!! I get my revenge by sending out a party of archers and picking off it's people one by one....ha ha, that's funny.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance!!!

Bob

are you picking berry bushes, fishing and killing the deer?

It's an old game but I absolutely LOVE it. I can play for literally hours and watch all the stuff going on.

It takes a few attempts to find out how many gatherers vs. how many soldiers to spawn.

hit me up on a PM and I can give you more details.

Axim X30H
1GB SD card (movies)

You can't build a farm right off the bat. You have to advance to the next level ... can't remember what that is at the moment.

I wish they'll port RoN to PPC...

I will definitely buy that!

I love AoE also, but can't seem to justify $30... PC version selling for $19 now... hehehehe

Anyway, great game!

i just bought AoE from mdm (using handango) for 25.49. i signed up for a newsletter (i think) and got 15% off. read such good reviews that I had to try it. it's pretty good; graphics are great. What other games of this type for the pocket pc do you guys (and gals) recommend?

Thanks,

Bob

Have you tried Warfare, Inc. yet? I like that even more than AoE.

rcmolski - Are you doing research through your storage pits and graneries? Another way to get food is through fishing, you should also do research with your docks, barracks, etc.

You have to build a market (on the second screen of buildings, use arrow key at right to access) before you can start building farms.

I wish they would port Warcraft II (dont think 3 would be possible) Or Starcraft. Hell, even Diablo would run great on a ppc if it was ported right. These were some fun games back in the day, i would love to see a ppc version.

diablo - ahhh I'd klll for that on PPC.

seem to remember having to click really really fast on the original (they made it so you could just click once to attack in D2)

would probably end up sticking my stylus through the screen if i had to click that fast
