Question Gilbert Goodmate

Hey y'all! I need some help. I'm trying to get Z-logics Gilbert Goodmate running on my Axim X5 Basic. It says I don't have enough memory to run the program. I've gone through my handheld trying to clean up, but no good. Can somebody tell me how much memory it takes to run it and/or good places to look to clean up. I did backup and hard reset, and of course, it worked, but I can't do that. I have too many other things installed (on the compact flash) that it would be a pain to reinstall. Thanks for your help.

The answer to this question can be found on the zlogics website in the Downloads section.... near the bottom of the page.

http://www.z-logics.com/

Clickgamer has this game on sale for something like $7.98 until (I think) July 7th.

Close, but not quite. First of all, I have the full thing (Got a deal on a software auction). Second, I don't need storage size information, I need running memory size. Does it take 11MB of running space memory? That's what I need to know. Thanks for your help though.

Thanks, the finally answer was to not be stupid. I was allocating memory... the wrong way. I was giving it 3MB application mem and 18MB storage. Thanks for your help!

You should be able to install it to a card - if you have not already. That'll help a lot. It's a pretty big game.

I've installed it on my Axim 5 basic as well, but it won't play either because of memory issues. I've been trying to free up some space, but all I've been able to get is 6.92 mb storage and 6.87 mb program (is program and application memory the same?). Any ideas as to how I can make some more memory available?

Did you install the game to a card or to main memory?

You will need to move some stuff from your main memory to a card. What do you have installed in main memory?

Main memory (Windows??) seems to only have programs in ROM plus a lot of .dll files. I think that all of my programs, e-books, games etc. are now on a SD card. I think that I deleted all of the programs that had been previously installed to the main memory.

Quitting Gilbert Goodmate

Ok, dumb question. I downloaded and started to play the demo. How do I quit the game? I had to reset the Axim to get out.

been awhile since I've played the game but if I remember correctly, you have to click on the d-pad...should give you an option to save, exit, or continue the game.
Directions should be available at the z-logics website in the downloads section....should be able to find the manual there that you can download.
