I went to handango.com and downloaded the trial version of Age of Empires. It installed fine except it said something to the effect of "some things may not work correctly because AoE is designed for Windows Mobile 2003". I just ignored it and went to play the game. When I go to the intro screen I have the choice between "Register" and "Exit". I go to register, but I have received no registration code that I know of, so how am I supposed to register? I have no clue where to find the registration code. I know someone must have downloaded AoE Trial version from Handango before. Where is the registration code?
Thanks for your attempt at helping me. Yes, I have let it sit at the Register or Exit screen for over a minute and it doesn't do anything except keep looping the intro music. It's so strange, why would you need to register a trial product?
haha.....I think this is a mistake on handango's side. I sent them a notice about this about a Month ago, because the file that it is allowing people to download seems to be the full version (Don't worry, you still cant use it unless you buy the game and get the reg code). I told them this in hopes that they would fix it, but they insist that it is a Trial version. If you go to PocketGear, you can get the REAL trial version there.
Thanks hockeydude. I spent a while trying to figure it out but finally gave up and uninstalled it. With aximsite up and down the last few days I just got your message. I will give PocketGear's trial a try. Thanks.
I can't help you because I downloaded every trial version I could, but none of them wants to install!! The install shield keeps crashing. I looked in the FAQ, where they talk about a crash with winXP, but I run win2k sp4 so it shouldn't occur. And no way to use their 'CAB install method' as I can't find any .cab!!
