which of the three everquest titles should i purchase?

Well, they all kinda go together, so if you think you will eventually want all 3, go with the first one. However, I think the second or the third episode was better than the first.

It has been so long since I played that it is hard for me to remember, but I think either two or three is longer because the developers actually put in some side quests, which episode 1 really didn't have.

you start with 1, move to 2, then on to 3...

why would you wanna start with a gimping character from 3 when you could import your buff out souped out loaded like * character so you don't have to bother with picking up stuff to sell (Burden ) just so you can buy more mana potion?

reason to skip 1, slow.... unless you are a druid with SOW... quest are simpler, in 2 you get quests that *bring me xyz, I will make you a nice someting something*

but anyway, EQ is EQ... I can't imagine myself having to start anywhere else but from Episode 1.
