Porta-Pinball is a freeware pinball game for Pocket PC

Has anyone tried to get Porta-Pinball to work on the Axim? Going to the site it appears that it should work but I can't even get it to install. Tells me that it is not made for my system. I would love to try out this game if anyone has gotten it to work on the Axim any info would be appreciated.

I believe you need to download some dlls from ms. Check the link under the download section. I'm pretty sure I had this working at one time. I think there's a vb file somewhere that loads the dlls. Good luck. SAM

Porta-Pinball automatically installed fine on my Axim. This is one of the better Freeware games around. Hope you eventually get it installed.

Finally got it to install. What a hoot! Had to pull out the cab file and put it on my CF card. Tapped it and it installed with no problems. Just what the doctor ordered. Anyone know of any other pinball programs out there? I love it.

Just got a e-mail from Timothy Hartley at pocket.iwarp.com on the Porta-pinball problem I was having where the installer was telling me that my device was not supported. He told me to take the Cab File and install that directly from the device. It is working like a champ now. I love it.

There is a new version in the works and just about ready to be released for beta testing. It fixes a number of bugs (key access being a major one; some newer devices have a strange idea of how buttons should be detected) and improves gameplay and sound.

He is supposed to be sending me the new beta when it is finished.
