Everquest 1 - saved game files available?

In an attempt to fix an Avantgo problem, I recovered from a Sprite backup... not realizing that my Everquest was installed in main memory... I lost my Level 10 character, and are reverted back to my wimpy level 3 guy... I really don't want to spent the hours to get back to where I was. Does anyone have the saved files for a level 8 or 9 character in Everquest 1?

p.s. - (*^%&*#$ My avantgo problem still isn't fixed.. after I finish Everquest, I'm gonna hard reset and reinstall everything... I hate AvantGo.

I see it's been a month and no replies to your message here. I have a level 7 Mag that is almost ready to ding level 8. Currently in the runes of Nardok, so I might be at level 8 by the end of lunch today. Send me your e-mail address via pm if you want and I'll send you the file.

P.S. I've noticed EQ locks up everytime I have an appointment/task reminder pop up. Maybe I don't have enough base memory since I have the X30 low end. Do you know how to avoid lock ups?

I have the smae problem. I had an Avantog issue. Had to do a full ROM upgrade and lost EVERYTHING including my Everquest character which I worked diligently on for months!

I haven't played the game that I PAYED $19.95 for ever since becasue I can't bare to go through leveling up and wasting all that time to get my character back to where it was BEFORE Avantgo jacked everything up.

What a waste...

Its available through handango and pocketgear I believe. Not bad.. but it does follow EQ convention. That means you will actually sit there doing nothing while you wait for your guy to regain health and mana. Thats one part of the game I could have done without.. down time.

Anyway.. other then that and its price tag its not bad especially if you are or were an EQ player and can get a little thrill from being in some of the same locations.

Ahhh... the endless stops to wait for life and mana to recharge. What a b!tch.

I'm not putting myself throught that Hell again. I'll find another RPG that doesn't torture it's players... but when I think about it... what PPC RPG games are there to choose from?

Have you tried Legacy?
