Cool Quake 2 - good old times

I just tried Pocket Quake 2 on my Axim 624MHz - it rocks!
It isn't completely smooth, but still playable.
You walk and shoot with keypad, look around with touchscreen, just like with mouse on PC

Actually, there is sound
BUT it needs A LOT of memory. So have 33MB or more program memory free, run the game, start new game, and then go to menu, options, change sound quality from Low to High and voila - Quake 2 with sound
If you enable sound BEFORE you load the level, it will quit with an error, something about low memory, of course
But using the trick above, I managed to play with sound.
Good luck

33MB FREE!?! Is that how much program memory is needed? If so I guess it won't work on my X5 huh?

^^^Even if you had the ram availible you wouldn't be able to run it, maybe like 1-2FPS.

Got it installed on mine and man are the graphics so much better then Quake 1. Runs pretty good to except when sound is on and you are in landscape mode. I use the jog dail to go forward and backward but it would be great if i could make so when i press the jog dail in that it shoots like in quake 1.

But pressing jog-dial is actually the same as pressing center key in keypad, so just map it and that's it
