Can't get doom or quake to run

For the life of me, I just can't figure out how to get these games to run at this website http://home.freeuk.com/gamefreaks/pql/

I keep installing, putting wads everywhere. If someone can just break it down for me, I'd really appreciate it.

I am running both Doom and Quake 1 with no problems on My X5 400Mhz PPC 2002 A04.

For Doom you need the following files :-

Doom.exe 557k
doom1.wad 3,881k
Doom4CE.wad 337k
gx.lib 4k

For Quake you need :-

PocketQuake.exe 516k
A sub-folder ID1 containing :-
autoexec.cfg 1k
config.cfg 2k
pak0.pak.gz 8,361k

Hope this helps.

You might also want pak1.pak if possible. That's about 32mb unzipped.

What is a sub-folder ID1? Just install the files listed on my CF card in a sub-folder? I am downloading quale from the link above, will contain all of these files?

A subfolder is a folder within a folder
So if you install quake onto a sotrage card the directory list for quake would be:

Storage Card\Quake\ID1\

the pocket quake only contains

You must download the pak0.pk1.gz file seperatly, also note this is only the demo of quake1. To play the registered/full version you must copy pak1.pak from your quake1 cd

You can read the readme.txt file included with the pocketquake download to get better instructions
