emulator

i am looking for a gbc and gba emulater. they must have an on-screen d-pad cuz the d-pad of the x30 sucks for gaming. i also need sound when playing gbc and gba roms. any1 who knows a good emulator? it must be a free-ware emulator though, so dont mind morph-gear.

thanks in advance, strider

morphgear runs most gba games, but is slow on the x5 and x3 usually

plus its not free, but its the best, and only one out there (i think)

Morphgear rocks. As far as the Dpad, keep at it. In no time, after it gets broke in a bit, it works well.
I personally like GBA pinball and golf games. Neither has a ton of moving about though.

The company that makes MorphGear made a different program called PocketGB. It is unsupported but is free as far as I know (it doesn't ask me to pay when I use it). Try downloading that. Just go to the page where you would download MorphGear and scroll down a bit.

Neither look to be particularly useable.

I'm assuming that since you are looking for a free emulator you also don't own any of the games for the ROMs you have. So, think of it this way: for $20 (or whatever morphgear costs) you get to play all GBA games. I'd say that's a pretty good deal, if not a legal one :)

This happens to be a case of "you get what you pay for" even if most of emulators aren't.

There is one named Pocket GBA, that seems better than morphgear, but I can't get it working on my axim. The game will load, but you can't edit the keys so you cant get any action. It worked perfect on my 4350 but not on here :( get morphgear, it's good

Hmm if I can find Pocket GBA I'll try it on my X30 High and see if I can get it working.

what you need is called a ROM. It is the actual game file. If you go a google search for GBA ROMs, I'm sure you will find plenty. I personally have about 200 NES ROMs on a CF card that I play pretty much all day at work. :approve:

aside from saying that google is your friend, i'd quit talking about where you get roms is an illegal/gray area, and not permitted on this site, i'd shy away from the subject of roms and go back to emulators

i remember pocket gba. the company that make morphgear made that. unsupported, and very outdated. this was pre-morphgear, pre-updates, pre-actuallyplayinggbagames. i have not had any luck with pocket gba at all.

it's only illegal if you don't own an original copy of the game :approve:
but sorry, I didn't know it was against aximsite rules. :hide:
