PocketSNES

Since the original site is now a giant advertizement and the newer site (pocketsnes bleedingedge) hasn't released anything in almost 2 years, I decided to fix the horrible frame timing issues and update it to include support for the X50v (using code from picard's GAPI driver). Even though picard's GAPI driver works beautifully on just about everything else, there are a few today screen apps that throw it off only in PocketSNES.

So, this version's working great on the X50v (significantly faster than Morphgear), but I have no idea how or if it will run on any other devices with the changes I've made. If there's anybody with an X5/3/30 or an X50 low or mid that wouldn't mind testing it out for me, I'd really appriciate it... send me an email at emulamer@gmail.com and I'll respond with the file and, if you want it, the source.

I don't have anywhere to host it, and it's about twice as big (zipped) than Aximsite's file size limit. So either send me an email or give me your email address so I can send it to you that way.

Check your Gmail account.... I've created you an FTP account and directory on my server. Upload to it and folks can access it at leggnet.com/emulamer. Feel free to do whatever with the directory..... :-)

I just tried it on my X5 Basic, I can't say it worked that great for Super Nintendo it wasn't playable. Same with California Games too. I don't think it's supposed to run well on mine tho, My handheld probably isn't good enough anyway.

Thanks for checking... have you tried morphgear or any other SNES emulators on it before? If so how did they do?

I tried out MorphGear, It worked pretty much the same. Perhaps Pocket Snes worked better. PocketNES works awesome for NES games.

Download the zip, unzip it, and copy PocketSNES.exe to your PPC.. Then run it from file explorer.

I tried it out briefly and it doesn't seem to work too well on an X30 high. The sound wouldn't work unless I checked "sync sound" and even then it was pretty bad. Also the buttons have alot of lag in them. For example, when you are in a menu and you press down it wont work and then if you press it for a little longer it'll move a couple spots like you pressed it twice or three times. The graphics seem to work fine. It also completely froze my Axim a couple times too.

Awesome program ! Super Punch-out ran full speed w/ sound on my x50v! Only problem was the voices were super high pitched, even when i messed with the options.

Excellent job

I tried out the pocketsnes, and it worked great :approve: similar to Morphgear.

One thing I noticed was that when I disabled the frame rate, game was running at twice the speed
