Loading from SD Card
I have over 30 ROMs on my SD card and have no problems loading it. It should automatically see it once it's on you SD card. Make sure that it says "All Folders" in the folder drop down when you select to open a ROM and that the ROMs have .nes or .zip extensions.

Hi steguis, maybe you can help me. What is a ROM in pocketnester? I just got my X5 so I'm new to all this. I downloaded pocketnester, tap on file, tap on open ROM and nothing is in there. Is ROM what they call the games? Do I have to download these ROM to my pocketnester? How do I get them?
Any help will be good...Thanks

acsurfer, Yes a ROM is what the games are called in emulators (PocketNester for example). There are forum rules against posting direct links for games on the boards, but some simple searching on Google for "NES ROMS" will turn up tons of hits for you. Might take a bit of searching, but you'll find plenty out there.

Also, I posted some tips on searching for and loading ROMS into PocketNester at the following link:

Roms
Yes, ROMs are the games (technically they are the ROM images of the Nintendo cartidges). There are a number of sites that have ROMs available, but just be careful, most of them unfortunately have plenty of ties with adult sites. Here are two sites that I use...
Just copy the .zip files to your Axim (Anywhere on your axim including SD and CF cards) and PocketNester should automatically see them. Legal Disclaimer: Legally you are only allowed to download and use the ROM if you actually own the game. ![]() The Rules for this forum say no posting links to Rom sites, even with your disclaimer. Sorry.

PocketNester isn't seeing the ROMS I have installed on my SD card. I copied them to the Jetech directory on the SD Card and I can open them with File Explorer, since I have associated the files with PocketNester. Any ideas why the open rom dialog isn't seeing them?

I'm not seeing them on my CF card either.
I installed PocketNester on my CF card and then put roms in the same dir but they don't show up even when all folders are selected. If I put them in a folder under my docs on the axim, they show up fine and work. Any ideas as I think I have one other program that doesn't show the CF card when all folders are selected. Thanks Woody

Make sure you do not have a hidden file on your CF card called "ignore my docs". This will cause programs not to look on the card for documents/roms. Typically, this file is added by the Axim the first time you plug it in.
