Will I be able to use this gamepad on my x30?
I just found this gamepad online after a while of searching. I just ordered an x30 for the purpose of multimedia and web surfing(this will be my first pda). Will I be able to use this gamepad on it for emulators(yes I own all the games I download roms for)? Does anyone know how well it will work? Thanx!

The Zeta Joypad is a game pad for the iPAQh22xx/38xx/39xx/5xxx series that gives gamers using emulators on Pocket PC better control during gameplay. It allows landscape, tilt input and more, like a standard gaming device. Drivers are available for Pocket PC 2002 and Windows Mobile Pocket PC 2003. The product works with emulators like PocketGB, PocketSNES, iMAME, MAMECE, PalmGB, CE/gg, NeogeoPocott, PocketFC, PocketNES, METARION and Turjah

It appears to only be compatible with those Ipaq Models.

Isn't it possible that it would work for other PPCs with the correct OS? Or do different PPCs have different driver requirements? I wonder if it will only work with those games.

i dont think drivers are so much the problem as physically connecting the device to the pda

Some dude made a custom job for his Axim. It looked kinda weird, but he said it worked well! :-)

Good point about the hardware. Can't wait until more PDAs start using USB host. Do you have a link to the custom job?

I guess something like that MIGHT work on the X3. I should try it one of these days.

god damn it would be awesome to have a joypad
without it i dont really see a point in pocket emulation, theres no way to really control the game

The best hope for a gamepad on an Axim:

There are drivers for the Gravis Stringer serial gamepad, however, no one got it to work with the X5. If you want to spend money trying, I'll see if I can dig up info and drivers on it. (you'll need a Gravis Stinger and a serial device cable for the X30)
