I 2nd that question.

I liked Hexacto's Kasparov Chessmate, but it won't run on PPC 2003 SE. :(

Anyone?

It runs on my X50v just fine. It does take a bit longer to boot, but the game runs fine.

I'd love to see something like Battle Chess... But nothing decent that I've seen.

Really nice FREEWARE chess game. Not specifically VGA, but looks great on my X50V. I haven't tried it with SE_VGA or ozVGA yet.

What would SE_VGA or ozVGA do for me?

They allow you to run true VGA rather than the original VGA that comes with your X50V. I find it is very useful for web browsing as you can see much more (if you can read the small text). I don't actually use it anymore, I like the resolution as is for most things.

I second the call for Battle Chess, that was a cool game I had back in the days of Amiga 2000 :approve:

Thanks for the VGA info. To quote Dana Carvey impersonating Johnny Carson, "I did not know that!"

Oh, and this is the closest thing to BattleChess I've found for the Pocket PC (not sure if it runs on the x50v yet, though):

Chesscapade
