Legacy editor question

I've been playing Legacy for some time now and it's an awsome game. I downloaded the editor and I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with it? My question is this: Does the editor create stand alone "modules" or add-ons to the existing game? How do you play the games you create with the editor? I've emailed Redshift, and they told me there is a Legacy Editor forum at PDArcade.com, but I've tried to register several times, and have not been successful, and now the site is under construction.

Yeah... so if anyone can answer my questions, I'd be very grateful. Thanks!

It basically creates expansions. The expansions that you can purchase for Legacy were actually created with the editor.
