Worried Games mapping buttons wrong

All the game I have installed on the Axim map the buttons opposite of what they sould be. Is this normal for the Axim. Is their a way to change the way buttons are mapped.

Depends. Some emulators like Gnuboy have configuration files, and you can edit the text to map the buttons anyway you like.

Some programs have a menu where you can reset the buttons too.

Which programs are you having problems with?

All the games I have reverse the action of the buttons. For example if the shoot button is suposed to be on the right of the d-pad it is mapped to the left of the d-pad instead. The games that it is a problem with is Turjah 2 and Odyssey because they don't allow you to map the buttons yourself. Is it normal for games that have preset button mapping to be reversed on the Axim. I hope that I am explaining this OK.

I think that is normal. I think it is because many games use the IPAQ default mapping. And the ipaq keys are layed out differently. I had to tweak a configuration file for Gnuboy to get the button layout right.

Question

how do you configure Gnuboy??
I tried opening the file with notepad on my computer and it have like a whole bunch of text file.

Cause for some reason the A and B botton are on the left and start amd select on the right. So i want to change it so that the a and B is on the right and the start and select is on the left.
