Hi! Whenever I go to play a ROM in YAME on my new Axim the controls do not work: I have no way to play the game. What's wrong?
Also, sometime I double-click a PPC program on my desktop and it says it is not compatible with Windows in one pop up window and in a second one it says it is an "invalid format". Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you tried remapping the buttons? I never had the problem but I've heard others, when they looked at their screen, all the buttons were mapped to F22. Check out Settings/Detail 'Input 1' Tab. Last row is select and start (for nintendo anyway) mapped to C1h and C2h left to right. If you need more help I can post a screenshot of my controls screen, but I'll wait and see if you've had any luck first. Good luck!

I'll try to remap the controls again, but when I tried it before the emulator could not find the buttons...I'd press them and it would just say "F22". Any other tips? I'll try again but I have to recharge my device first. I really appreciate the help! :)

from another discussion board:
In YAME, if you screw up tthe buttons, you can choose "uninstall" from the menu and it will set everything back to the default (including language).

Once you get it working, you shouldn't have to go into the setup ever again.
---------------------

I just did this on mine which was working fine to see what would happen. All the buttons went back to normal. Also if I tried to change any of the up down left right buttons it would assign each to F21, which isn't right.

here's another something you might want to try from another board:

I figured out that instead of having YAME autodetect the keys by pressing them, you could type in what key you want it to be. I typed LEFT for left, RIGH for right, UP for up and DOWN for down, and it works perfectly.
-------------------------

Hoping this will help, let me know...

Yeah, the buttons were messed up as soon as I installed that. I though it was odd. Thanks for the help!

On a related topic...I am looking for information on remapping buttons in YameCE. Specifically, changing the 'jump' button in Super Mario Bros. I see the variable fields in the \settings menu, but have no idea what to input.

Any thoughts?

Settings->details->input 1
The two rectangles at the bottom are start and select. Above those the two, in the set of three the two on the right are A and B, you'll have to play with remapping to see which is which of those two.
