Installed game pack won't work on x50v

I installed the free games that came with my X50V following all directions and the don't work. Enigmo goes to a plan black screen and plays a few sounds then exits. Stuntcar extreme says I don't have enough memory. Any ideas?

Sounds like you may have installed them to main memory. Make sure if you have no memory card to at least install them to built in storage both games have a fairly hefty install size but still require plenty of memory to run once installed.

I have installed mine to the main memory and the storage memory and they don't work. Enigmo starts without sound. I don't have a card yet to try an external card with it.

most likely its a memory problem...thats the only thing I have seen that regularly prevents it from running...if you have enough free space in main memory try sliding the bar over towards storage to free up more memory for system :) that usually does the trick.

I tried the slider thing to no avail. Also, I did a hard reset put only Enigmo on in BIS and it still runs just sound for a while, no picture and freezes up (no buttons will work). Should I call Dell. Will they be any use?

I doubt Dell will be of any help (as usual), they disclaim support for this "free" bonus anyway. I have the same problem as you describe, and I've tried the same things you did with no change in things. From the sounds of it in other messages here, it's not that great a game anyway, since it seems to be a demo version (thanks Dell for your "limited time free offer".) :rolling:

If you ever get it working, post a note here!

So how much free memory do you have?

That is about what mine looks like. Hemingray, have you tried any movies on it? I ask because my concern is that it is the graphics processor. Stuntcar Extreme behaves just like problems I had with my graphics card back when I had to replace.I haven't tried any movies because I haven't bought my 1gb card yet. Is there any way to test the graphics processor?

I've had the same problem with both games as described here. Have pretty much given up on them. Every thing else about the X50v is top notch! I otherwise love it.

both programs need a lot of memory to run, make sure other programs are closed before playing those games, I have both game installed on a compact flash card and they still run great, check settings\system\memory\runninig programs,choose stop all before playing those games :approve:

Try getting Betaplayer with the 2700G plugin and try playing any of the sample files here.

I was having the same problem w/ stuntcar and the memory error message. However, I know this sounds stupid...but did a soft reset and the game works now :) ...Try it...

I have a similar problem. I have played video with WMP and BetaPlayer and they both play back great. I even downloaded a 5.33MB program called PVRWebLoop (I think I found it on this page) that runs a demo of the Axim 3D capability. It runs perfect! But the games don't.

I installed both to built-in storage because they came with instructions on how to do that, so I assumed they would run fine from that location. The sound seemed to work, but the screen took FOREVER to change and they were completely unplayable. StuntCar Extreme only redrew the screen every 5-10 seconds and felt like I was watching a slide show.

I tried installing them to my SD card, but SCE keeps installing to built-in storage. I've tried various methods of uninstalling, soft resets, etc. No luck. Enigmo installed to my SD card and opens fine, but is still slow. I have over 27MB of free application memory.

Example, I open Enigmo and it starts going through the splash screens. When it gets to the screen that shows "Enigmo", I tap the screen and start counting. It takes 11 seconds to bring up the Enigmo menu that lets me choose to play a game. Once I try to start a new game, the screen goes blank for about 20 seconds and then shows the game screen. Once the game starts, it starts zooming in on some jars of H2O at a rate of about 1-2 frams per second. Wow.

Anyway, you get the picture. This game is unplayable right now. I know it should be better than this and it should run from an SD card. If anyone has a hint on how to fix this, I would REALLY appreciate it!

EDIT: Forgot to mention one other FUN fact: I can't get out of the game without a soft-reset. There's probably a pop-up menu in the game or something, but I've tapped the entire screen and nothing pops up. It's probably still figuring out how to display!

Glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem. I try to run Stuntcar and all I get is sound.
