I've been using MorphGear for playing Chrono Trigger and like many others, I get horrendus slowdown in battles. If I use this version on my X50v, does the game run at the same speed all the time, or will it still slow down in battles? I'm just curious if it's just inherent in the emulation, or if this new build will speed things up across the board as compared to the MorphGear emulator.

In Chrono Trigger it still slows down quite a lot, generally it runs at 8/9 framerate and ocasionally goes down to 6 for a short period but as they are battles I haven't found it too bad at that framerate and it does stay at full speed. Morphgear is set at default to auto frame skip but is limited to go no more than the frame skip set (default 3) so if you want to run it at full speed on Morphgear you will have to set the frame skip higher (but that will lower the framerate).

PocketSNES_OpenGL

I'm a latecomer..where did PocketSNES_OpenGL_01-27-05.zip go. The link doesn't work anymore and I've googled everywhere. Is there still a place I can download it?

Can someone please put up another download link or email it to me at mistro dot g at hotmail dot com?

Also, has the missing joystick skins every been fixed in the OpenGL verison? I read in aonther thread that the skins were not working. I really rely on the skins because all the actual buttons on my axim x50 are to close and to small.

In Chrono Trigger I get fps of 15 with mono sound and frameskip on, even with the 2700g version. Any chance to speed the emulator up even more?

set autoframeskip to off
turn frameskip on to 1

for more speed turn sound off

very smooth and nothing will run it better on the x51v

I tried to work around the check by attempting to modify the program to detect an X51 instead of an X50 using a similar method to what I did on the PocketTop IR keyboard driver, but it didn't work. If the program is truly compatible with the x51v excluding that check, then it should be very possible to modify it to remove that check.
