-no sound (probably some wrong compiler option)
-no on screen controls (because PocketSNES made many assumptions about the screen resolution, i have fixed many throughout the code though)
-use the WM2003 SE landscape switcher instead of the built in code. The application will detect the orientation and goes fullscreen in landscape mode, while displaying menues in portrait mode.
On the bright side, it looks much better than simple pixel doubled versions, since it use bilinear filtering when scaling to any display resolution.

It looks great. Graphix and sound - just great. But I have a problem, it might be so simple I just cant seem to get it :(
I cannot map the control keys. In Options->Buttons, I hit the button on screen, then hit the harware button I'd like to assign and... nothing happens. Somehow I even lost the original mapping - some of the on-screen keys now have "..." next to them. Is there a way to manually assign the buttons, in reg keys perhaps? I cant even play now.. :(
Thanks!

I really don't think it's quite up to morphgear standards yet. I tried to play a level or so of super mario world, and it ran slower than the game is supposed to, even on auto frame skip. The speeds still just aren't accurate. Even though I won't use it to play my games, I still appreciate the work you have done even as a proof of concept kind of thing.

Well you have to make decisions. Since the X50Vs screen refresh is less than 60Hz i decided to let the game run somewhat slower. Otherwise it would be impossible to get a smooth framerate.
So instead of 16.6ms frametime, it is now closer to 18ms.
Without doing so you would probably have the timing more accurate to the original, but a choppy framerate, which certainly is not my goal.
Summing it up, it is somewhat slower for people, who are used to NTSC and somewhat faster for people, who are used to PAL.

i keep having an error problem happening randomly to me, like it will work perfectly for a whole night, and then like after i soft reset it, then it will say it isn't a valid pocket pc application, anybody know how to fix this without having to put it back on each time?

Is the source available? I'm quite interested in the texture loading.

After I download this and try to run the exe file, I always get an error and it says PocketSNES.exe is not a valid Win32 Application.
Any ideas?

That .exe is supposed to run on your pocket pc, not your desktop pc. Transfer it over via activesync or however you wish and run it directly on the pocket pc.

I'm really impressed with this emulator; it seems to consistently run every game about the same speed (close enough to full speed, but not quite), and even games like Super Mario RPG with the special chips seem to work well on my Axim x50v.
My suggestion is that I'd like to see the save/load state keys able to be mapped to the buttons. It would also be neat to have land-scape mode on-screen controls set up on either side of the display so that you can get similar controls to a GBA.
Thanks for the awesome work! :approve:

Great emulator, Tala. Thanks for keeping it updated.
Has anyone tried Another World in this emu? It seems to hang after the intro text scrawl.
