StuntCar Extreme controls suck; poosible to change?

Is there a way to change the controls for StuntCar Extreme? It's stupid to use buttons for steering and the stylus for gas/brake. I'd rather use the D-pad/buttons for everything, or have the stylus control steering and the buttons control gas/brake, or use the stylus for everything (there was a PalmOS racing game like this... stylus control rocked!)

Note that the mail button can be used for gas, but it's awkward because the StuntcarExtreme is in landscape mode... is there a way to hide the stylus input area and switch to portrait mode?

Mmmmm

Is the second time I read this issue.

First, I must said that I uninstalled StuntCar after a couple of times, Im more Enigmo kind (well, Im really more SNES player, but thats other history).

When I played StuntCar, I never, never ever never, thinked about pulling out my stylus to prees that two really big on screen buttons, I just used my thumb, and I really thought thats the whole idea, and also think is really original and cool. I dont think you will damage anythnig for using your fingers, even if you dont have SP (I dont have YET, but thats another boxwave-related history).

Im the only one?

Pressing the screen with your thumb is absolutely fine, the finger prints will rub right off. I just think people are apprehensive about touching that brand new, shiny screen...

<deslock smacks head> I didn't even think about using my thumb for the on-screen buttons. OK, I take it back... the controls don't suck afterall.

The problem with the controls is its just so un smooth. Because it uses the dpad you cant make small adjustments. If it was steering using the touch screen you could easily make smooth turns.

I have Stuntcar on my Zodiac also, and it's infinitely more fun with those controls (analog stick and shoulder buttons). The Axim version looks nicer (uses a newer version of the X-Forge engine), but I've barely played it - too frustrating with the crappy controls.

Took me a while to try the thumb. It just didn't cross my mind. Controls well now, who needs a stylus.
