Is Descent a more complex port than Quake?

Ill Cerebro .. whacky; more to point, I'll finish my Descent port to Zodiac one of these days, if its worth it; ie: Clock down my X50v to 206MHz and see how well Descent runs; if well enough, I'll just port it. (It'd run a bit faster at equiv speed on a Zodiac.)

Rock -- Quake is a much harder port; they had to do extensive amounts of work to remove floating point calculations and change them to fixed point among numerous other optimizations, to keep speed up on ARM chips; Descent .. various folks have had their hands in it, but no real hack work like that has been needed, only recoding intel x86 ASM. So Descent is a much easier port.

Afaik the bus speed is way down at 206MHz, so it should be a bit faster on Zodiac.

Just an FYI so you know I'm not dead ;) Just wrapping up some work on my CaSTAway ports (GP32 and Palm OS) and hope to get back on some Descent hacking.
