Something like Hexic - Bejeweled, but not quite
Who here has played Hexic? I think it's a much better version of Bejeweled, and always thought it would make an excellent Pocket PC game.
Basically, it's hexagons instead of squares, and you rotate three at a time to match them up. Simple concept but VERY addicting. Link to game here: http://zone.msn.com/en/hexic/game.htm I've given up expecting it to come out for the pocketpc (even though OTHER games on MSN are out *grumble*).. so does anyone know any hexic-like games. There seem to be LOTS of bejeweled clones.

I agree. I've played Hexic and it's more intrincated than Bejeweled. I would also love to see a PPC version.

I've actually been looking for a concept to be my first game... to get me started programming for the PPC. Was going to do a tetris clone, just because I could focus on code and not design (the tetris game design is pretty simple!)... but this looks like it would work too.
Wife's out of town... I'll get started this weekend! Thanks for the idea, and don't worry... I'll post here when I need testers!

I'm a programmer too. If you get stuck somewhere I'll be glad to help.

Thanks... it's what I do for a living, so I should be ok... I've compiled and run a demo PocketFrog app on my Axim... worked great.
The only thing I can't figure out at the moment is how to get the x86 emulator installed in eVC++ 4.0. I have installed eVC++ 4.0, SP4, and the Pocket PC 2003 SDK.
