Morphgear Settings for X30H (SNES & GBA)
Greetings,
What Morphgear settings would you recommend for an Axim X30h with a ton of free RAM in order to get SNES and GBA roms running smoothly. I can get Super Mario World to run smoothly, but all my button presses have a lag before they respond. I keep jumping into bullets and whatnot because of it!
So, any settings that you guys have on your X30h's that work well for you?
Thanks.

In fact it is not working so well...
-just set priority thread to lowest or below normal (in order to remove button lag)
-never stretch video frameskip max=4
-no sound at all
and like that it is almost playable...
see you

Grab the newest Morphgear for one thing, I'll show you at the bottom how to install it since alot of people get lost in the new translation. The X30H lag issue has been resolved with the newest updates that have come out since it was a big issue last year, so grab the newest one. Now if you wish to have more speed, there's always overclocking. You can make your Axim X30H maximum speed reach from it's original 624 mhz speed to over 700 mhz. Pocket Hack Master 2004 is what I recommend from Pocketgear. Now the Global Setting for Morphgear should be Driver Auto, CPU throttle off/ or Highest, and the thread priority should be ste between Normal-Highest (which ever one that does not cut the sound off or cause you to be able to play still with the virtual pad.)
SNES setting should have it's sound options all on except interpolated or sync(use this if your sound seems to be not coming on in the beginning of the game and disable the sync after the sound has come on), 44khz also. Frameskip 3 with auto sync on, Max Rom Size 8 mb. Now for VGBA, I can have sound on with frameskip 2 (auto sync) since i'm using the X50v (with overclocking to 728 mhz and using the Gapi Tweak, Morphgear's gapi driver as well) but you may have to have the sound off, frameskip 2 or 3, Auto sync on. These are the helps i can give you for setting and such. To install the new morphgear follow this order:
Morphgear Module- http://www.spicypixel.com/confluence...ay/mg/Releases
Marat's Modules (VGBA, GG/Master System, GB/GBC, NES)- http://fms.komkon.org/MorphGear/
SNES Module- http://www.spicypixel.com/confluence...es9x/Downloads
Genesis Module- http://www.spicypixel.com/confluence...ator/Downloads
Turbogfx 16- http://www.spicypixel.com/confluence...hugo/Downloads
All this should have set you up quite well for some gaming bliss!
Post again if you have any troubles...

Great. Thanks for the help. The thread priority definitely helped with the button lag. I'm not jumping into (as many) bullets anymore.

If you just want the snes module, just get that (of course you need the morphgear module to run it)! You now have the power of choice thanx to Morphgear becoming open-sorce :approve: !

Do any of you have any probs with the virtual gamepad? Mine doesn't work with the SNES or Genesis modules.

I think you can use the resource hacker:
http://www.spicypixel.com/forum/foru...d=1352&start=1
Try Emulamers 4th post, don't install the gapi tweak... it doesn't work on the X30, only the x50v gets it to work. It should get your Morphgear skins to come up right...
