Wife and I are both FPS gamers from back in the day (No time anymore). So when I discovered I could play Quake on my x50v, we were thinking... PPC DM Baby! But... nothing on the Ax is that simple I suppose.
Ok. I have Quake installed on both of my x50v's. Now the wife and I want to play but I ran into an interesting dilema... you cannot access the sid (keyboard or other input) once inside quake, so you cannot type in things like the ip address of the other ppc or execute console commands and things like that. I found a way to alter the playernames in the config file but found nothing I could decipher about how to build an 'autolaunch' so we can play multiplayer. Am I a total moron or is this a legitimate problem? Can someone point me in the right direction, been a long time since I messed with quake config files. Is it possible to run a Quake server on a Windows PC and then join the game with the pocket version? That would smoke. I have an old 400 somewhere that would make a lovely vintage server. Cheers ![]() | |||||
