Handmark Scrabble and X50V problem...
I'm trying to play Scrabble on my x50v, but I can't get it to display properly. The tiles are unreadable unless they are selected, and the letters on the board are blurred.
Anyone else having these problems?
Thanks,
Randy

Yes. Thats why I'm writting my own "scrabble" type game. Based on the open source "Word Game" for the sharp zaurus.

Emailed Handmark support and they responded that they are working on a VGA compatible update.

My Wife and I play it on our x50v's all the time. It can be a bit unreadable at times, but I deal with it.
Cheers

Try xwords, which is freeware. I believe it's much stronger than the handmark version, you can use your own dictionaries, it's very fast, has game history, etc.
Right now it just picks the highest point word, without regard to rack leave, but it's still very tough to beat.
Also, the author is currently working out some bugs that have been causing occasional lockups on some units with WM2003.
It's a great game.

I should add that I am comparing xwords to the Palm version of Handmark Scrabble. I haven't played any full games on the PPC version because of the display problems.

Let us know what you find out. I tried Handmark's game and the display made the game "unplayable".
I'll try xwords.

Yeah, Scrabble looks horrid on the X50v. It's still playable but the letters are tough to read. I hope Handmark updates their s/ware soon :)

Well, at least they're trying. We can only wait and hope, I guess :)

Where do you get a free dictionary to work w/this game?
Never mind, I found it on the site.
