PocketDos VGA?
Is there a way to make pocketdos think i'm running VGA? I am using a X30i but the game i am trying to play is Powball. It was it requires VGA to be able to run it but I don't think that the X30i has VGA or does it?

Have you tried using the Bochs plug-in? If I remember rightly this will emulate a 486 processor and VGA - although the compromise is speed.
The plug-in is availble from the pocketdos site.

What kind of problem are you experiencing? Although running in a mashed-up pixel kind of way (technical term there) it still supports VGA apps. The big problem with games is the lack of DOS4GW support.

This is what it says "Sorry, you need VGA graphics (with 64k+ RAM) to play Powball."
Edit : Forgot to say but is there a way to make dos use my sd as the ram?

The RAM used by software running under PocketDOS is technically emulated using your PDAs RAM - you should have enough - old games rarely required much more than a Meg or two.
The VGA emulation is interesting. It is possible that there's some issue with the plug-in that mean the game you're trying to run isn't detecting the VGA emulation - although that would be very strange. Unless it's looking for SVGA - in which case you're borked as PocketDos doesn't support it.
As the other poster states, give DosBox a try. It's not very user friendly but often delivers results where PocketDOS fails.
I'd also suggest swinging by the PocketDOS support forum and posting an enquiry there. The software's developers are very good at responding to queries.
Mark.

I've never been able to get DosBox to even run on my X50v. Anyone have good install/setup instructions?

No dice, I'm afraid - I've had zero luck with DosBox on the X50v - runs pretty well on the X30h though. A message to all us early adopters who want to emulate games older than most pop-stars on our new toys :)

Any doc or assistance using DOSBOX on the AXIM X30.
I downloaded what I thought was a good version (though I may need to find a new one). I try to run it, and I just get the Axim version of the hourglass.
Any help!?!?!
