I bought my axim from a friend and he couldnt find the cd that it comes with is there any way to sync my axim to my computer

Call Dell and tell them you didn't receive you Companion CD. They should have no problem sending you one.

In the meantime you can download ActiveSync3.6 so you can connect to your PC.
