Arvale on the x50v

I was wondering if any other x50v users are addicted to the Arvale RPG and experience the same battery life as I do.

It seems that I can only expect about 1.5hrs of use time playing Arvale, before my battery warning prompts...

I play with the PPC sound turned off. Hi res graphics game option on or off does not seem to make a difference either. I tried setting my processor speed to low, and that makes the game unplayable. Havent tried the 520mhz mode yet...

Any thoughts?

I have no problems running Arvale on my X50v in power-saving mode (208 MHz). Where do you have it installed (SD, BIS, or CF)? Do you have GAPI tweak installed?

I have never timed it while in power saving mode but is has to be at least 3 hours.

I've never had any problems, except that my Ax gets quite hot while I play, especially in my Rhinoskin. I let the processor choose how fast it needs to go, so I don't know what it uses. Sound on, graphics at whatever it wants. I don't have a GAPI tweak (?) installed and the game is on SD.

No problems whatsoever with battery life really, but if I'm going to be playing for a while (more than 2 hours), I'll plug it in to the wall.

Just my $.02.

Maybe you have left wifi enabled?

I installed it on my SD memory card... No GAPI tweak. Maybe the GAPI tweak would help when locked at the lower processor speed, or make it run at a lower processor speed when in automatic speed selection mode?

Maybe just a weak battery. Now that I think about it, by battery drained very fast when playing Enigmo also...

I wonder...

Try lowering your backlight. I did this and my gameplay went to 2.5 hours plus...
